Visiting Unionville

Unionville is a small town located near Markham (HWY7 & Main St.) was first settled by German pioneers in the 1790s. The Main Street has maintained much of its late 19th C charm, with many historical houses and buildings. The main street is lined with shops and restaurants and holds an old town atmosphere.

Several nice and clean free parking lots are available, not including those at restaurants:

Amazing ladscapes, greenery and century old trees provide with clean and fresh air:

Waterfall at the lake on northen part of the town (home for wild ducks and turtles) soothes with its sound:

Have a look at some most memorable buildings:

This colorful flowers invited us to enter to the restaurant for lunch ($91CND for two)

We have had seafood linguini with a lots of shrimps, calamari and scallops, and of course a bottle of beer. For those who likes canadian beer we strongly do not recommend "Leffe" abbaye-de-Abdij-van (Belgian beer). Its very bitter and tastes like tar. Do not experiment! Stick to what you know better!

Spend weekend in Toronto less than $100CND for two

This series of photos will tell you how I spent Sunday with my friend. We found a parking lot in about 10 m from Waterfront (flat rate $15). We enjoyed the view on lake Ontario while having our beer "Corona" and fries ($15.87 tax included). After that we took a ride on "Shark Attack" along the shore and around Toronto Islands to the Birds Sanctuary (one adult ticket $20). The trip took about an hour, but memories will last till next summer.
